carboNZero

7 Worlds Collide and Oxfam take sustainability seriously, which is why we took the steps to achieve carboNZeroCert™ certification - the first greenhouse gas certification scheme to receive international accreditation under the auspices of the International Accreditation Forum. This means that the 7 Worlds Collide carbon footprint has been verified against a global standard that is accepted in 50 major world economies.

All greenhouse gas emissions associated with artist travel, recording and live performances in New Zealand were measured and reduced as much as possible. We included all flights, kilometres driven and emissions from promotional materials, as well as energy use at, and waste from, the recording studio and concert venue.

Any remaining unavoidable emissions have been offset by purchasing verified carbon credits from a range of projects, including native forest regeneration and the production of electricity by wind farms and landfill gas. This growth of biodiverse forests and investment in clean energy as a result of 7 Worlds Collide can never again be used to offset other emissions.
